Fantasy football trade analyzer
Put in what you would give and what you would get. The verdict weighs both sides on value over a replacement-level starter — and, with your roster added, what the deal does to your starting lineup.
How the verdict works
Each player is worth his projected points on Draftline’s rest-of-season board above a replacement-level starter at his position — the last one a 12-team league would start. A player below that line is worth nothing in a trade, however many points he scores, which is why two depth pieces rarely add up to a star. Sides within 10% of each other are an even trade. With your roster, the best lineup is set before and after, and the change in its points is the number that decides most trades. It is a rest-of-season verdict, not a call on this week’s matchup.
Common questions
- How do I know if a fantasy football trade is fair?
- Weigh what each side is worth above a replacement-level starter, not their raw points: a player you could replace from waivers is worth little in a trade. Then check what the deal does to your starting lineup — a trade that loses value on paper can still win if it fills a hole you start every week.
- Is a 2-for-1 trade good?
- Only if the two are worth more than the one above replacement, or the one you give is someone you would bench anyway. The side receiving the best player usually wins, because the extra player from the other side often sits on the bench. Add your roster and the lineup change shows which way it goes.
- Does it say who to start after the trade?
- No. It sets the best lineup on Draftline’s season-long board to measure the trade, which is not a call on any one week’s matchup. Lineup decisions are yours.
